So here's a fact about me: before being a die hard boarder, I was a horsegirl.
I use to have a horse named Duster (yeah, that names mega thugg style hahahaha ) and I use to compete a lot and be really good at it!
It was a great passion and I remember going to the barn practically everyday after school, go clean out the barn, and bond with my man ;)
A few years back I moved to my mothers in Montreal and stopped, it was pretty depressing for a while but that's when I discovered snowboarding!
But even thought I have a new passion, there's not one day I don't think about horses.
It's truly a part of me and will forever be a part of me, and maybe one day I will be able to have my own horse again!
Today my dads girlfriend brought me to the barn, she has a horse named JJ ( prounouced Jay Jay) and I got to ride him! It was amazing!
It's like one of those moments when you think you will never really be able to do it again, but then all of a sudden a miracle comes and you get a chance to do it again. (ex. I thought I would never be riding again, cause it's so expensive and life goes on, but now I have the chance to ride again and take care of a horse and get back right into my riding roots again) Today was a really great day!
So I guess what I learned out of all this is to never give up what you started and to never loose hope. If riding is a part of me, it will come back.
I will forever be a snowboarder/wakeboarder and have that awesome swagg after me, but I still have room for my horsie moments!!
Enjoy,
