Long ride to happiness

Hey dudes!

Or I should probably say Happy Halloween! Wooooohoo scarrrrrrrry! Ok well I guess it's okay for me to be scared of being alone in my apartment tonight.

EXCUSE.

But hey I hope you're all having a great night, I'm sadly not celebrating... Well, it's rainy and I had a ruff day and I'm still feeling kind of sick so I guess I will just have to celebrate it this weekend!
My costume? The Great Gatsby theme! Oh yeah! I look awesome!

But anyways, a part from that I wanted to write a blog because I had some emotions come out of me all throughout the day and nothing feels better than talking to a dear friend to let it all out. (Legit, I went for dinner with a friend tonight and we talked. )
I've been going through ruff patches in my emotional life, going through a little depression from all the stress, and such in my life and it has been kept a secret for a while now. I've been having a lot of ups and downs and today it was a big down down down.

I feel as if it is important for me to tell you guys because everyone goes through a ruff patch like that and I want you guys to know it's okay, and that you're not alone.

I felt as if I was alone... Even if I have parents and a boyfriend, and friends, I haven't had the opportunity of having a moment where someone could just listen to me and kind of understand and help me a little until tonight.

I went to dinner with a friend and we talked and it felt really good to let it all out. When we go through ruff patches, communicating with people is the best thing to do. We can't keep it in you, but it's also to communicate to someone who can understand and kind of feel for you.

I think that the biggest problem with people going through depression is that we isolate ourselves and don't talk to everyone, and then when we try to talk to someone we feel bad about talking and we get the impression that no one wants to hear your problems and then you just feel..
Well, you feel suffocated.

And then there's psychologist, but then it takes so long before finding the right one, and even when you have the chance to go, there's still something missing.

I know there's something missing, that's why I'm not feeling right. Perhaps it's the absence of loved ones, or the absence of an animal because I always lived with one.

Falling into depression is so easy and it's getting out the worst part. And it can take a while!
So the best thing to do, is hang out with the people you love and who love you the most, go out, force yourself to go out, talk it all out with close friends and start thinking positive.

It's a lot of work, and it will take a while to get better, but just imagine how amazing you will feel when you free yourself?!

Snowboarding season is approaching, and as you might know I love snowboarding so hopefully it will help me a lot!
For now, I just try to be as positive, and work on my photos and try and get contracts and get my name out.

Also, as a Halloween present to you all, here are some photos I took from the Autumn shoot I did with the Black Sheep Fashion! I really hope you like them, I'm so proud of myself really, and next saturday I will be collaborating with them again! So I'm quite excited for that!!

Enjoy, and be happy! xo

The most fashionable week in Canada!

WELL GOOD THURSDAY NIGHT EVERYONE!

As you noticed on my FB page, I have posted the photos from Toronto Fashion Week (Ok so the Monday and Tuesdays shows) so that technically means I finally managed to get off Montreal and on a plane to Toronto! HOURRAAAAY!

But I didin't manage to get on a plane Sunday, no there were 60 standby passengers and then I decided to just give up and try the next morning, and as I was getting my checked bag out they lost my suitcase... oh well, it can't really be much worse.

So yes the next morning I got on a plane and was off to the most fashionable week in Canada!
And let me just tell you it was amazing!

Just sitting watching a runway show gives me the thrills just makes me fall harder in love with the world of fashion. And I would just love to thank the Black Sheep Fashion for giving me that opportunity!

Oh and did I mention I was sitting 2nd row right behind Elle Canada?! Sadly I didin't man up to go talk to them but it was still really cool! I guess after a little depressing moment you get a happy opportunity that comes by and gives you a little push.
And being there just gave me an extra push to make me pursue my dream of fashion photography.

So to that, what have caught my eye during those two days? Well, I find the Monday night shows were great although there was a lot of black and white. I love black and white, but for a spring 2014 collection I was expecting a little more colour but no fear! Because the show that caught my eye was the Laura Siegel show in which there were HUGE POPS OF COLOUR! And made my eyes grow bigger than my stomach(you know what I mean) kind of way.

I found out those round hippie style glasses are coming back, I always loved the style but sadly they REALLY don't look good on me so I think I will pass on that note.

I was kind of disappointed in the Travis Taddeo show because I found his collection was very nice but I found he was playing safe, and going with the trend everyone is going for (Cara Delevigne style). But hey there were a couple of the womens outfits I LOVED and would totally wear but I was expecting a little more from him.

And when you go to these events alone sometimes you can feel a little lonely and out of place but I met a lovely young lady who kind of took me in on Monday and made me feel somewhat a little more into my place and excited and less lonely.
She is also a blogger and I invite you to go check out her website: realliferunway.com it is a blog about affordable fashion trends and a whole bunch of other fashion things!

She also made me discover a designer who showed on the Monday night, Pink Tartan who is Joe Freshs wife! She designes pretty clothes a little more Haute then Joe but sooooo pretty! I especially loved her floral pattern dress and skirt which gave a little spring moment that night.

So I could totally just keep talking and talking about my two days in Toronto for hours but come one, I don't want to make any of you jealous :P JKS !

So I had a great time, but even if I am a little sad from missing the rest of the week, I am glad to be back home, to start planing up coming shoots and getting back to school!
And going to the gym! Ok so I did go workout in Toronto but I didin't do my 100% because I had to hurry my workout because my days were full with fashion events, BUT EVEN IF I AM SICK TODAY (yes, I have an ear infection, it really sucks but oh well live with it) I AM GOING! And I'm going to do a good workout, even if I'm going to probably die because I haven't done a decent workout in a week!

So wish me luck to that! And then it just feels good to be home and be with my dear boyfriend and relax!

So here are some photos from Toronto Fashion Week, you can see more on my FB page and I will soon post some up on my website, I'm actually going to be working a little bit on it today and try and change a few things, so I better get going!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Enjoy,

Just waiting.. and waiting.

Hey dudes!

Okay so I thought I would take the time to write a blog considering I am trapped at Montreal airport since 9 this morning hoping to get on a flight to Toronto for Toronto Fashion week. But I guess luck didn't hang around my side today, and having all oversold flights and over 20 stand bys (including me)trying to get on.. Well right now I'm just thinking about heading back home and trying again in the morning.

And that most likely means I would have to sacrifice tomorrow mornings first shoe event in which I was super excited in going!
Oh well, it's life so I can't really get mad because it's not really anyones fault, and right now I will just content myself in writing a blog with a very big headache and an empty stomach.

So Toronto fashion week debuts tomorrow! I'm really excited to be a part of it, perhaps miss the first event tomorrow, but it will be fun to go see the runway and studio shows and meeting people in the industry and especially take pictures!
It's kind of cool because sitting at the airport all day, I've been seeing people dressed up very fashionably going to Toronto which means they are all probably going to TFW. And it kind of amazes me, and the other thing that occurred to me was, well I'm one of them!

Wearing my new Topshop olive green winter coat(Yes I have worn it since this morning and I have no taken it off believe it or not) I feel fabulous!
Well don't we all feel fabulous when we wear new purchased clothes?! I know my boyfriend felt fabulous yesterday when he wore his new Calvin Klein winter jacket.

Oh and he looks so hot in it I couldn't stop looking at him this morning when he wore it while driving me to the airport.

So anyways, I know I am blabling a lot right now, my brain has turned to fuzz and I can't think straight I am so tired oh my god! And yes I would soooo go get a Starbucks right now but my phone died and my phone charger is in my checked in luggage(yeah I know how stupid). And now you are probably wondering well why does she need her phone for Starbucks?! BECAUSE MY STARBUCKS GOLD CARD IS ON IT! And I would spend cash on a coffee but right now I am tight and I would use my gift card I got from my grandma on my birthday.

So yeah, all to that to say I'M TIRED I JUST WANT TO SLEEP!

ANYWAYS. A part from all this, last weekend I made it back into the studio finally, and thanks to SPECS models, I got to use a model for a sophisticated grunge shoot and it was quite fun! Not a very long photoshoot but it was worth it and it felt good to be back in the studio just having fun and practicing on editorials.
And I was quite happy to have my friend, Makeup Artist, to be there and do the makeup so it was pretty cool!

And now this week I will be in Toronto going to the shows, and such feeling the real world of fashion, meeting people in the industry, and finding some inspirations for future shoots.

Well, I have to go now, try and go walk around and find something to do while waiting to get on a plane, but hey I will write soon!

Enjoy, xo

Hard work is finally showing!

Good Tuesday Morning guys!

Hope you had a great thanksgiving weekend (Well to all the Canadians who are reading this of course!)
I had a great one, where I temped to cook a thanksgiving dinner and I actually succeeded quite well! And to my dear boyfriend who brought a nice apple pie(ok so I hate pie but this one was actually quite good... So maybe my taste buds are just changing which is a good thing I guess).
And then yesterday we went up north for the day, hiked half way up Saint-Sau, then went for a nice coffee and lemonade at a famous little coffee shop in Saint-Sauveur (It's called Brulerie Saint-Sauveur BTW) where my boyfriend ordered the Whistler, which was a coffee with a mountain of whip cream while I contented myself of a nice homemade lemonade(I wasn't feeling too well, I went for a massage in the morning where she absolutely tried to kill me(ok I have back problems so I have to go to therapeutic massages and those massages hurt you so much but makes your back feel a lot better so)) You get the point right?

I thought so.
And then we just walked around and then slowly headed back to my apartment where we had pizza and pop corn and watched some LOST.

So yeah, it was a pretty good thanksgiving!

Other than that, if we go back to the weekend before which was my BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!!!!! That was a very good weekend as well!
Saturday I spent my morning with The Black Sheep Fashion for my first collaboration photoshoot and had a BLAST! Such a great team and I was so happy about the photos(I can't post them yet because they need to publish them first which will be around Halloween) But I can't wait to post them and to be proud of seeing my work on the net!

And then I had my birthday dinner with my closest friends and it was a blast! My closest friends are just so amazing towards me and it means the world to see them there and just having a really good night out, I needed a night out and what better than being with the people I love the most and eating good food and just laughing away!

And then, as I mentioned in my past blog, the Sunday where it was 11 degree and rain on my birthday, and indeed it was BUT my boyfriend and I did manage to go up north for the day and then ended the night with ordering Chinese and rented a funny movie!

So it really was a great two weeks so far! Not to mention what is coming up!!!!
Yess people!
I kind of kept it a secret until this week, because I wanted to be sure it was going to happen, but I am officially THANKS TO THE BLACK SHEEP FASHION, going to the Toronto Fashion Week Sunday coming up! YES I'M SO EXCITED!
I am quite nervous tho but it will be absolutely awesome and it's my first time going so this is big!

So I guess this weekend coming up will be a good one as well! Not a lot of sleep BUT it will be worth it!

So yeah,
all my hard work is finally catching up and my name is starting to come out!

Enjoy,

Finally!

Hey dudes!

So as I promised on my FB page, I would be writing a blog today!

I have been so busy with school and photo projects that I haven't had my mind up to just sitting down and writing a blog. Crazy as it seems, it's actually kind of hard to write a blog!

Okay so maybe not incredibly hard, but when you have no inspiration whatsoever it's hard, trust me.

So, to start things off, I had an amazing and SUPER ROMANTIC couples shoot Sunday morning and it was aaaaaaawesome!
Cause you know, if you haven't noticed I haven't got to taking pictures in a while now, and being the proud owner of a 24-70mm f2.8 (that I just got a couple of weeks ago) I WAS EAGER TO TRY IT OUT! OMG I KNOW RIGHT?!
Seriously, I haven't had the chance to actually use it for a photoshoot until last Sunday!
Of course I took some cute little pictures(and no there wasn't any selfies.... Ok ... Maybe one or two...) BUT I haven't actually had the chance to use it and let me just tell you after the shoot Sunday I couldn't wait to go edit them and see the magic of my lens!

And clearly it shows!

ALSO, not to mention I got to photograph one of the cutest couples ever! They were so genuine, sociable, and it was a blast! It's always fun seeing your models(in this case, couple) arrive early, super excited and giving you so much energy during the shoot.
I think that's one of the biggest things I love about shooting, and the most important part, having models who love to be a model!

So after that shoot,
my boyfriend suggested we end our beautiful sunny Sunday by going to Quartier Dix30, to go visit Lollipops Paris and go walk around and go for dinner!
Okay so right there you're probably like oh my god, spend a sunny day at a shopping centre.....

NO SERIOUSLY LISTEN TO ME! Or I should say READ ME: Quartier dix30 is outdoors (ok so obviously the stores are buildings) but the whole scenery is amazing, with fountains outside, and that modern architecture. It's cool to just sit outside and watch people pass by! And the restaurants all have beautiful patios(even rooftop patios) and it's a great place to go!
Well... Maybe not in the winter when there's like 5ft of snow outside but still!

So we went, and I got to use my 100$ gift certificate from Lollipops Paris for when I photographed their store opening with Efashionista! AND THEY REMEMBERED ME! They even follow me on Twitter, Instagram and FB!
It's awesome, and they are so nice! Honestly, their hospitality is the best! AND THE STUFF THEY SELL?!!
The cutest accessory store in the world! I got the chance to get a new wallet(I was so due for a new one) a bracelet and 2 pairs of earrings! So it was a nice visit, and again, the sales associate there was a charm! A true Lolligirl as they say!

NOTE TO ALL YOU FASHIONISTAS: Go visit Lollipops Paris in Quartier dix30(it's on front of the Apple store) because it's worth it!

And well then the week started again! And then I got swarmed with a bunch of projects and such and now I'm just drowning with a head full of ideas trying to create a concept for a school project next week!

And for this weekend? Well it's my birthday on Sunday(in which they announce 11 degrees and rain -__- ) But the Saturday I will be on set for a photoshoot with The Black Sheep Fashion and then my birthday dinner at Rockaberries in which I'm super stoked in eating a truffle cake!

So Yeah, now I must go back to studying and creating concepts because I am SO FAR BEHIND! As usual. Oops.

Enjoy,
