WELL GOOD THURSDAY NIGHT EVERYONE!
As you noticed on my FB page, I have posted the photos from Toronto Fashion Week (Ok so the Monday and Tuesdays shows) so that technically means I finally managed to get off Montreal and on a plane to Toronto! HOURRAAAAY!
But I didin't manage to get on a plane Sunday, no there were 60 standby passengers and then I decided to just give up and try the next morning, and as I was getting my checked bag out they lost my suitcase... oh well, it can't really be much worse.
So yes the next morning I got on a plane and was off to the most fashionable week in Canada!
And let me just tell you it was amazing!
Just sitting watching a runway show gives me the thrills just makes me fall harder in love with the world of fashion. And I would just love to thank the Black Sheep Fashion for giving me that opportunity!
Oh and did I mention I was sitting 2nd row right behind Elle Canada?! Sadly I didin't man up to go talk to them but it was still really cool! I guess after a little depressing moment you get a happy opportunity that comes by and gives you a little push.
And being there just gave me an extra push to make me pursue my dream of fashion photography.
So to that, what have caught my eye during those two days? Well, I find the Monday night shows were great although there was a lot of black and white. I love black and white, but for a spring 2014 collection I was expecting a little more colour but no fear! Because the show that caught my eye was the Laura Siegel show in which there were HUGE POPS OF COLOUR! And made my eyes grow bigger than my stomach(you know what I mean) kind of way.
I found out those round hippie style glasses are coming back, I always loved the style but sadly they REALLY don't look good on me so I think I will pass on that note.
I was kind of disappointed in the Travis Taddeo show because I found his collection was very nice but I found he was playing safe, and going with the trend everyone is going for (Cara Delevigne style). But hey there were a couple of the womens outfits I LOVED and would totally wear but I was expecting a little more from him.
And when you go to these events alone sometimes you can feel a little lonely and out of place but I met a lovely young lady who kind of took me in on Monday and made me feel somewhat a little more into my place and excited and less lonely.
She is also a blogger and I invite you to go check out her website: realliferunway.com it is a blog about affordable fashion trends and a whole bunch of other fashion things!
She also made me discover a designer who showed on the Monday night, Pink Tartan who is Joe Freshs wife! She designes pretty clothes a little more Haute then Joe but sooooo pretty! I especially loved her floral pattern dress and skirt which gave a little spring moment that night.
So I could totally just keep talking and talking about my two days in Toronto for hours but come one, I don't want to make any of you jealous :P JKS !
So I had a great time, but even if I am a little sad from missing the rest of the week, I am glad to be back home, to start planing up coming shoots and getting back to school!
And going to the gym! Ok so I did go workout in Toronto but I didin't do my 100% because I had to hurry my workout because my days were full with fashion events, BUT EVEN IF I AM SICK TODAY (yes, I have an ear infection, it really sucks but oh well live with it) I AM GOING! And I'm going to do a good workout, even if I'm going to probably die because I haven't done a decent workout in a week!
So wish me luck to that! And then it just feels good to be home and be with my dear boyfriend and relax!
So here are some photos from Toronto Fashion Week, you can see more on my FB page and I will soon post some up on my website, I'm actually going to be working a little bit on it today and try and change a few things, so I better get going!!!
Have a great day everyone!
Enjoy,
