Okay so I am very sorry I didn't have a chance to write a blog.. Honestly it feels like forever and proof, when I got on to blogger I had to relog myself in and usually it just logs myself in so ONE CHANCE I REMEMBER MY PASSWORD EH?!
Anyways, so I hope everyone has being doing awesome, Fall has finally arrived in which I'm kind of excited for! I love sweater season and fall fashion is always the most interesting I find.
EXCEPT when there's wind. Yesterday I was wearing a big red hat and I had to hold it down because of the wind all day so eventually I just gave up and left in in the car.
So since Fashion week what has happened to me?! Well remember how I gave out like a gazillion cards out and talked to numerous people in the fashion industry? Well.... It was cool I really enjoyed the opportunity but I go 0 likes and no one has messaged me since :( EXCEPT ONE PERSON! In which if she is reading this right now THANK YOU TIMES A MILLION!
So I go a little down there because I was kind of hoping to get a few more likes and maybe an email or two but oh well! It's a tough industry and you fall down once, you have to get back up on your feet and start another way into getting your name out!
And so I did!
So I decided to send some emails to the people I have met, and I got a response by The Black Sheep Fashion! Just to fill you in, it's only a year and a half old canadian company who blogs about fashion and does many photoshoots all around fashion. They help get designers publicity as well as artists a shout out and I honestly couldn't of fell on a better company to start my career off!
Jessica, the founder and artistic director met me yesterday and let me just tell you how warming she is. We talked and talked about her company and what she wants to show and the opportunities in being with The Black Sheep and I really felt encouraged and boosted to work with them!
So here I am this morning waking up with a new team in my head, excited to be working as a photographer and creating pretty art and growing with a company from the very start!
So things started out a little rough but hey in the end, I got up again and tried another way to contact people and it worked! And it really gave me a boost to keep working and getting in contact with people because this is really something I dream of deeply and to have my dreams come true is my first priority!
And so other than that great news, it's my birthday in less than two weeks! YAY! Finally! It's going to feel good to be 19 finally! I feel like I've been 18 forever, so being able to say 19 instead of 18 is going to feel somewhat more mature than who I am! My father and his girlfriend came to visit me this past weekend to see me before my birthday and it was great seeing them too. It sucks sometime being far away and not being able to come down and they can't ever come down so even if it was on a short period (Way too short to be honest) it was good and felt nice!
Now it's already 9:30 and I need to go get ready for my shoot today! But hey, this time I PROMISE I WILL WRITE A BLOG SOONER! Hopefully by this weekend!! So stay tuned and PS. My website should be published by the end of this week! :)
